20th Anniversary of MAJOR Day in Wrestling History

October 5th, 1997 was a significant day in wrestling history for several reasons. One reason was the untimely death of “The Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman at the age of 35. Pillman was set to face Goldust later on that day at WWE’s Badd Blood PPV.

Badd Blood would feature the very first Hell in a Cell match in history, pitting The Undertaker against Shawn Michaels. The match played host to the first ever appearance by Kane, who interfered at the end of the match.
