Contrary to several fabricated reports, our sources have informed us that Kurt Angle did NOT pass a WWE medical prior to his TLC return match on Sunday.
Kurt Angle was simply required to pass the company’s concussion test and a very basic standardised medical (blood test, blood pressure, HEENT evaluation etc). A full medical would have involved comprehensive physical exams, typically include laboratory tests, chest x-rays, pulmonary function testing, audiograms, full body CAT scanning, EKGs, heart stress tests, vascular age tests.
It’s highly likely that Kurt Angle was NOT asked to undergo this medical, as the company did not want to be given a reason for Angle not to compete, given their desperate predicament.
Had Angle failed a basic medical, the WWE would have had AJ Styles team with The Shield, much like he did on Monday night, with Samoa Joe returning early to take on Finn Balòr, replacing Bray Wyatt.
