The REAL reason why Jinder Mahal lost the WWE Championship

Contrary to many false reports, The Dirty Sheets can exclusively reveal the REAL reason that Jinder Mahal lost the WWE Championship to AJ Styles.

The WWE have been hugely concerned with their inability to sell tickets for SmackDown house shows and television, however, the company never expected to be struggling to sell out UK and Christmas shows. The UK has been a stronghold for the WWE for over a decade- with TV tapings usually selling out in 2-3 weeks, whilst, sell-out house shows, during the festive period, have been a vital part of the WWE’s revenue stream for over 40 years.

Unfortunately, the WWE only managed to sell half the tickets for the recent SmackDown UK TV taping, whilst failing to sell out a single SmackDown house show on the tour. The poor UK sales, coupled with the fact that Christmas ticket sales are at an all-time low, resulted in the WWE taking immediate action- with Jinder Mahal being the ultimate scapegoat.

The WWE must now desperately attempt to boost ticket sales for December with AJ Styles as Champion. It is unknown if Jinder will recapture the WWE Championship in January. The original plan was for Mahal to hold the title for the India tour and drop it to John Cena at WrestleMania 34. According to our source, the India project is far from dead and Jinder Mahal will still have a major match on the India tour to compensate for the fact he won’t be going into India as champion- most likely against Triple H.
