Tonight’s NXT TV tapings featured a segment with Almas, where he confirmed that Drew McIntyre will be unable to compete in his rematch at the next Takeover.

This lead to a series of qualifying matches which would result in the winners advancing to a Fatal 4 Way, with the winner becoming the new #1 contender.

Results:

Killian Dain defeated Trent Seven, Johnny Gargano defeated Kassius Ohno, Lars Sullivan defeated Roderick Strong and Aleister Black defeated Adam Cole.

The Fatal 4 Way saw Gargano defeat Dain, Sullivan and Black to become the new #1 contender.
