Chris Jericho recently appeared on the Killing The Town podcast, and discussed his storyline with Kenny Omega in NJPW. Whilst speaking about the angle where he attacked Omega, Jericho made a ridiculous claim when he stated that being able to use color took things to a whole new level, and that when he saw the blood coming from Omega, “that was, to me, the greatest moment in my career in the last 10 years.”
This comment was utterly ridiculous based on the fact that Jericho has had incredible moments in the WWE from 2007-2017, coupled with the fact that during the last 12 months, he regularly referenced his last WWE run as the best of his career.
Prior to his last run, Jericho regularly cited working with Shawn Michaels in 2008 as the best program of his career, his ladder match with Shawn Michaels as the best match and until his recent run with Kevin Owens, always cited his 2008-2010 heel run as his best work.
Based on everything Jericho has done in the last decade, the comment is utterly ridiculous and as is often the the case with Jericho, was simply made to hype up his upcoming match against Omega. It’s likely that when Jericho looks back on his career, attacking Kenny Omega in a minor league promotion, won’t get anywhere near his top 10 career moments.
