Two weeks ago, Randy Orton became the No.1 contender for the US Championship by winning a Triple Threat match on SmackDown.
However, that title match is no longer listed on the Backlash page on WWE.com. Some would point to the fact that Jinder Mahal has switched brands and that Jeff Hardy is now the now the US Champion, but this should make no difference to Orton’s title match, as the WWE could simply produce a graphic showing that Orton will face the winner of Hardy vs Mahal – who are set to meet at the Greatest Royal Rumble. What makes matters even more interesting is, Seth Rollins of Raw is still slated to face The Miz, who is SmackDown. It certainly seems like Orton’s US Title match may have been scrapped.
