The Dirty Sheets have been at the forefront of all things relating to Daniel Bryan throughout 2018. We were the ONLY site to report that Bryan was attempting to get full clearance in December 2017 and that a tag match against Owens and Zayn was on the table for WrestleMania (with Bryan originally set to participate in a limited capacity, before clearance was granted). Whilst The Dirty Sheets were single-handily completely on top of the situation, other sites continued to wrongly resign Bryan to the Japanese and independent scenes.
Lately, we have been the only site to accurately report news relating to his on-going contract negotiations, highlighting creative issues, a lighter schedule and a desire to work with Brock Lesnar- facts that were ALL confirmed by Bryan in a recent interview.
After months of negotiations, we can now confirm that Daniel Bryan has opted to sign a short 3-month contract extension, beginning on September 1st and ending on December 1st. This deal is in place, so that Bryan can work shows in Australia and Saudi Arabia, and the Survivor Series, whilst contract negotiations continue for a long-term deal. It’s being said that a long-term deal can replace the 3 month deal anytime, however, its more likely that Bryan will begin his new deal on January 1st, giving him full control of his obligations during December, where he strongly wishes to spend time with his family.
According to our sources, the parties aren’t too far from agreeing on a new deal. Whilst creative control hasn’t been granted by the WWE, a “right to refusal” has been agreed upon, along with a lighter schedule. With Bryan’s main concerns no longer an issue, he’s now 99% likely to pen a new long-term deal with the company.
During last night’s event at MSG, Bobby Roode faced Mojo Rawley and appeared to injure his knee. During the match Roode came off the top rope missing Rawley and immediately collapsed grabbing his right knee. The match then immediately ended with Rawley pinning Roode for the win. The referee removed Bobby’s knee pad and Bobby spent about 5 minutes on the mat clutching his knee in the fetal position. He was then helped to the back clearly in pain. While this of course could all be a work, it would seem odd to have Mojo Rawley go over Bobby Roode in such a lackluster finish at MSG.
A controversial tweet by Finn Balor has fueled further speculation about his sexuality. Fans have been divided about Balor’s sexuality for some time, however, speculation escalated when The Dirty Sheets broke the news that Stephanie McMahon wanted Balor to portray an empowered gay character. Shortly after this story, we saw Balor’s controversial LGBT ring entrance at WrestleMania 34.
The tweet, below, speaks for itself, with Balor revealing his rear end in a very suggestive manor, whilst highlighting a bruise in the same area. He is also asking Baron Corbin to kiss his ass, whilst pulling a pouty kissing face.
90% of fans have reacted the same way to the tweet, acknowledging the clear homosexual nature of it.
Maddy Rose certainly gave fans a happy Independence Day with this tweet:
With Extreme Rules just 2 weeks a away, the WWE have only announced one gimmick match for the PPV- that being Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jaxx, under Extreme Rules.
However, our sources have informed us that, Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens in a “Steel Cage” match, is likely to be added in the next week. The company may have set that match up last night, with Owens getting himself deliberately counted out in his match against Braun.
Yesterday afternoon, the WWE sent out a press release informing the media and fans that Bray Wyatt had been involved in a head-on crash crash and that he would absent from Raw.
However, what the WWE didn’t acknowledge, was that JoJo was also involved in car crash with Wyatt. The WWE are still not willing to acknowledge the fact that Wyatt is romantically involved with the ring announcer, due to the negative press the pair have already garnered.
Wyatt was caught having an affair with JoJo by ex-wife, leading to his divorce. In addition to this- as exclusively reported by The Dirty Sheets, his ex-wife’s lawyers embarrassingly involved the WWE in the proceedings, by legally demanding information relating to Wyatt’s earnings. This resulted in Wyatt landing in the company’s bad books and dropping down the card.
[/spp-transcript]According to our sources, the WWE’s two biggest box office draws, Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey, will BOTH be a part of UFC 226 next weekend.
The WWE already gave Ronda Rousey permission to be there, as she will be inducted into the Hall of Fame of July 5th. However, we have now been told that…….
